UEFA satisfied with treatment Pavard received following Gosens collision

UEFA is satisfied with the France medical staff s assessment that Benjamin Pavard did not lose consciousness in Tuesday s Euro 2020 clash with Germany.

Pavard claimed after Les Blues 1-0 Euro 2020 victory over Germany that he felt a little knocked out for 10 to 15 seconds following a collision with Robin Gosens.

The right-back received treatment for several minutes at the Allianz Arena and was eventually allowed to continue playing.

Pavard s return to the pitch and subsequent comments drew criticism from world players union FIFPro, who demanded answers from UEFA for failing to follow the concussion charter .

The charter was signed by all 24 teams at Euro 2020 – a commitment to taking a series of measures to improve the care of players and includes neuro…

Great to see Aaron Ramsey back at his best

Great future

It is easy to forget that prior to his horrendous injury Aaron Ramsey was the young Arsenal midfielder that everyone was talking about, rather than the equally impressive Jack Wilshire. He had forced his way into the Arsenal first team and was looking like the future of the club until that fateful day on 27th February 2010 when he went into a challenge with Stoke s Ryan Shawcross.

Loan

Ramsey returned from the injury in just under nine months and after short loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Cardiff he has now found himself with another chance at Arsenal. Didn t he just take that chance on Sunday! An excellent performance was rounded off with the winning goal and his bad times were once and for all put firmly put behind.

Bizarre ending to Atletico Madrid vs Bayer Leverkusen sees Rojiblancos suffer Champions League elimination (Video)

Atletico Madrid have lost all chances of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages by failing to beat Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.

The the score tied at 2-2 at the fired-up Wanda Metropolitano, the Rojiblancos were awarded a penalty eight minutes into the stoppage time. Yannick Carrasco stepped up and had his shot saved by Lukas Hradecky, Saul Niguez hit a follow-up header into the crossbar, and the last chance fell to Reinilson whose shot caught Carrasco and bounced over the bar.

At that point, referee Clement Turpin blew the final whistle, and Atletico have been left only with hope of finishing third in their group and continuing their European campaign a tier lower. For that, they w…

Zaragoza set to sign Barca hotshot

Real Zaragoza are on the verge of signing Barcelona youngster Jonathan Dos Santos, according to AS.

The La Romareda outfit have reportedly agreed to pay €1 million for the 21-year-old, with the player set to sign a four-year deal.

However, there is a clause in his contract saying that Barcelona can buy him back for €2.5 million at any time during the first two years of his contract.

The Mexican’s contract at Camp Nou was due to expire in June 2012, which is the main reason why Barcelona decided to cash in on the youngster.

Should he manage to realize his undoubted potential at La Romareda, Barcelona will have the option to bring him back to Camp Nou for relatively low fee.

Despite being considered one of the hottest prospects in La Macia, t…

QPR want Jermain Defoe; West Brom’s Kemar Roofe joins Colchester

Queens Park Rangers F.C. manager Harry Redknapp has hinted he may make a second attempt to lure Jermain Defoe to Loftus Road during the January transfer window.

QPR appeared to be on the verge of completing a deal for the England international on deadline day in the summer, but nothing materialised.

Now then, according to reports, Defoe will put pen to paper on a three-year deal with QPR in January, but Redknapp has rubbished such speculation.

No, I don’t think anything is anywhere near being concluded with Jermain,  Redknapp said.

We tried to get Jermain before the deadline, but I don’t think there is any movement on that one at the moment.

I am a fan of Jermain s, I have signed him enough times!
